Lot of two rabbinical broadsides with important signatories 1958 - • Following the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, efforts were made to found a central religious and synagogue body to unite all religious institutions in Eretz Yisroel and the Diaspora. A plan was drawn up with the headquarters to be constructed in central Yerusholayim as Heichal Shlomo. This plan was vehemently opposed by many Gedolim, particularly the Brisker Rov. Signed by the Brisker Rav, R. Akiva Sofer, R. Zalman Sorotzkin, R. Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, R. Yechezkel Abramsky, the Tchbeiner Rav and R. Yechezkel Sarna. • Broadside against a particular individual who apparently publicly opposed the Chofetz Chaim, R. Chaim Ozer, the Rayatz of Lubavitch, the Chazon Ish, R. Akiva Sofer and the Brisker Rav. It is signed by students of the aforementioned Gedolim. 22 by 17.5; 35.5 by 25 cm. Fine condition. Opening bid $150
