R. Moshe Yekusiel Kaufman Katz was a son-in-law of R. Avrohom Abele Halevi Gombiner (Magen Avrohom). He served as Dayan in Kartchin and later Rav of the distinguished community of Kutno. He authored various important halachic seforim including Lechem HaPanim and Chukei Derech. His seforim were warmly received and were reprinted numerous times.
