Classics. HaKuzari. First Edition of the Kol Yehuda Commentary. Venice 1594. Fine Copy. With Unidentified Rabbinical Signatures.
Classic philosophical work by R. Yehuda HaLevy, with the first edition of the Kol Yehuda commentary by R. Yehuda Moscato.
The Kuzari is one of the most famous works of R. Yehuda HaLevy, the medieval Spanish Jewish scholar and poet, completed around 1140. Originally written in Arabic, it was later translated into Hebrew and is one the most fundamental and important works of Jewish philosophy.
R. Yehuda Moscato (1535-1590), served as Rav of Mantua and was one of the most influential Rabbinical figures in Italy. His comprehensive commentary on the Kuzari (published posthumously) was received to great acclaim and has since been printed in almost every edition of the Kuzari.
