Autograph memorandum to two brothers regarding a din Torah encouraging them to follow a compromise between them and the other party. R. Aaron Moshe Tobias (1787- 1852) was a scion of an illustrious rabbinical family. He learned under R. Tzvi Hirsch Heller (Tiv Gittin), R. Yaakov Orenstein (Yeshuos Yaakov) and R. Shlomo Kluger. He served as Rav in Sinyatin and later in Jassi where he was one of the most influential Rabbonim in the region, battling mightily against the Reform movement. A tremendous Talmid Chochom he authored various important seforim, including his halachic responsa Toafos Re’aim and his famed glosses, Karnei Re’aim on the Ma’Harsha which are printed in almost every edition of Shas. 10 by 6.2 cm.
