Bloch, R. Eliyohu Meir/ Telz - Bloch, R. Eliyohu Meir/ Telz. Signed letter dated spring 1942, shortly after his arrival in America. He writes of the great endeavor thrust upon his shoulders to transplant the great Telz Yeshiva to new shores. R. Eliyohu Meir Bloch (1895-1956) was a son of R. Yosef Leib Bloch (Telzer Rav). He served on the faculty of the Telz yeshiva in Lithuania. He miraculously survived the Holocaust whilst in America on a fund raising trip for the Yeshiva, with his Brother in law R. Chaim Mordechai Katz. Together they devoted themselves to the reestablishment of the Yeshiva in Cleveland Ohio. Excellent condition. 18.5 by 28 cm. Opening bid $250
