Translated and annotated by Dr. Zoltan Kahn. Illustrated by Dr. Ernest Munkacsi, who also wrote the historical essay. The illustrations reproduced in red and yellow follow ancient Egyptian artistic motifs. The page borders and other ornaments continuing the Egyptian motifs were designed by Bertalon Gondor. Also includes facsimiles of pages from earlier illuminated manuscripts and printed texts. Introduction by Dr. Geza (Moshe) Riba. This particular copy has typed notes in English attached, translating some of the Hungarian. Printed in the midst of the Holocaust raging in Eastern Europe, whilst Hungarian Jewry was still living in relative stability. Yaari 2293 Yudlov 3870. LVII, 1, 73, 1, LXI – LXXXII, 1 pages. 34.5 cm.
