Binyamin Ze’ev Wolf Ha’Levi Boskowitz (1740-1818), was a son and Talmid of R. Shmuel Ha’Levi Kellin Rav of Boskowitz (1724-1806) the celebrated author of The Machzitz Ha’Shekel. He served as Rav in various communities including Prostitz, where he developed a close relationship with the Chasam Sofer. He was one of the great Torah Leaders of his generation and was greatly respected by the Noda B’Yehuda, R. Akiva Eiger, R. Mordechai Banet and R. Betzalel Ranschburg amongst others.
