Alpha Beisa. Zhitomir 1848. Extremely Rare! - Sefer Chasidus, sometimes referred to “Osiyos Machkimos” arranged in the order of the Aleph Beis, by R. Tzvi Hirsch of Nadvorna. R. Tzvi Hirsh of Nadvorna (1740-1802), was a close talmid of the Mezritcher Maggid and one of the leading Chassidic Rebbes of his era. In his youth, he merited spending time with the Ba’al Shem Tov. His primary Rebbe was R. Yechiel Michel of Zlotchov, who was known to say that R. Tzvi Hirsch was the greatest of his talmidim. Many of the great Chassidic leaders of the following generations were his talmidim including R. Menachem Mendel of Kosov, R. Tzvi Hirsch of Zidichoiv and R. Avrohom Dovid of Buchatch. It is related that the Shinniva Rav would learn in the Sefer Alfa Beisa every day. This sefer was printed in Zhitomir in 1848 and again in 1849, this is the earlier edition. As is well known, seforim printed by the Schapira family press were exceptionally favored by many of the great Chassidic Rebbes and in turn by their followers. Vinograd Zhitomir 31.
