Classics. Beis Ephraim. Complete Set. Lemberg 1818. - Classic work of responsa on the four sections of the Shulchan Aruch by R. Ephraim Zalman Margulies of Brod. Separate title page for each section. R. Ephraim Zalman Margulies of Brod (1761-1828), was known as one of the leading Gaonim of his generation and was the author of many important Halachic works. He served for a while as the Rav of Uhaniv, however he resigned the position and subsequently declined to serve in the Rabbinate although he was offered many prestigious positions including the Chief Rabbinate of Frankfurt. He settled in Brod where he taught a select group of outstanding students. He was also wealthy and is often used as a classic example of Torah U’Gedulah.
