Avraham Tiktinsky (1855- 1931) was a son R. Chaim Leib Tiktinsky and a grandson of the founder of the famous Yeshivas Mir, R. Shmuel Tiktinsky. In 1899 he succeeded his father as Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Mir. Known as a tremendous Talmid Chochom he tragically became blind during middle age, and gave over the leadership of the Yeshiva to R.
