In manuscript form for hundreds of years until it was finally published with notes by R. Chaim Leib Auerbach. With signature and stamp of R. Chaim Leib Auerbach. R. Chaim Leib Auerbach (1887-1954) was one of the most prominent scholars of the old Yishuv in Yerushalayim and father of R. Shlomo Zalman Auerbach. He was the founder of a number of important Torah institutions in Yerushalayim including the famed Yeshiva Sha’ar Ha’Shamayim for the study of Kabbalah. During the tumultuous days of WW1 he was forced into hiding and during that period, worked on the publication of the sefer Chacham Lev. With approbations of both R. Yosef Chaim Sonenfeld and R. Kook. R. Yosef Chaim Sonenfeld mentions the notes added by R. Shlomo Zalman Auerbach who was a young man of seventeen at the time. Salomon press. 2, 4,386 pages. 26.5 cm.
