Two Early works by Chaim Lieberman. In Ta'al Fun Toit (In The Valley of Death) /Die Shtimeh Fun Ta'al (The voice from the valley) New York 1938-1940. - Lot of two early rare works in Yiddish by Chaim Lieberman (1893-1963). The first, titled “In the Valley of Death”, is an assessment of the situation of the Jews of Europe. Published on the eve of the Holocaust, the book portrays Lieberman’s views on the situation of world Jewry in general and of European Jewry in particular. The book created a storm, and in 1940 Lieberman published a sequel, titled The Voice From the Valley with hundreds of the letters he received on his assessment. Includes correspondence from R. Avrohom Duber Kahana Shapira of Kovno (Dvar Avrohom) and R. Yitzchok Hutner among many others, covering a broad spectrum of Rabbinic and intellectual leaders and figures. 36; 349 pages. 23-24 cm.
