Satmar! Shtar Mechiras Chometz Unrecorded. 1940’s! - Contract for the selling of Chametz, printed by the Bais Din of Satmar. The contract is not dated, however the Hebrew text lists the year as ת”ש… i.e. 1940 and beyond. Presumably this was printed before May 1944, when the local Jewish community was deported by the Nazis to Auschwitz. As such, this document was likely prepared by the local Bais Din under the leadership of R. Yoel Teitelbaum, who was appointed as Satmar Rav in 1934 and remained in Satmar until the Nazi occupation. 31 by 21.5 cm. Very fine condition. Opening bid $100
