Ben-Tzion Eisenstadt of Brownsville, a descendant of the Ponim Me’iros. Includes reminiscences of a visit the author paid to R. Chaim. With numerous pages of pre-subscribers for the sefer which includes many famous Rabbonim of that time, as well as a approbation by the Kobriner Rebbe of New York. R. Chaim HaLevi Soloveitchik known as R. Chaim Brisker (1853-1918), was the founder of the renowned ‘Brisker’ approach to Talmud study, a method of highly exacting and analytical study that focuses on precise definitions and categorizations of Jewish law with particular emphasis on the RaMBaM. Following many years as a Maggid shiur in the renowned Volozhiner Yeshiva, he succeeded his father (Bais HaLevi) as Rov of Brisk.
