Handmade French Torah Curtain. 1880. - Fine Beige silk panel with a green border. In the center is a depiction of the Ark of the Covenant with four poles for carrying. Threaded in silver, grey and green with an additional of Semi-precious stones. Embroidered inscription in French “Donated by Moise Schramech upon the occasion of the initiation of his son Abraham into the religious rite, November 1880. 53 by 75 inches. Good-Fair condition, some stains.
