During the Holocaust he was trapped in the Warsaw Ghetto. Using limited materials, in this case a quick pastel and sanguine he produced pictures under horrific circumstances. This sketch depicts a Jewish child begging for food, huddled next to his dead sister. This horrific drawing acts as a witness to history portraying the wretched circumstances under Nazi occupation. 18 by 13 inches. Fine condition. Framed.
