Mordechai Wiesel-Rosenblatt (1839-1916) was famous from a young age as both a genius and a tremendous scholar. In addition to great scholarship in the Talmud he was also well known as a great Tzaddik and miracle worker. Thousands, including gentiles, flocked to him for his blessings. He served in various rabbinical positions, but was most well-known for his term as Rav of the town Ushmina. In 1905 he accepted the Rabbinate of Slonim where he was revered by both the Chasidic and Misnagdic communities. 10 by 13 inches. Fine condition. Slight wear. Framed.
