Hermann Struck. Rare portrait in oil. - Rare oil portrait oil on carton of an unidentified Orthodox Rabbi. Signed in upper right with the artist’s well-known “H. S” monogram Star of David dated 1908. Hermann Struck (1876 – 1944) was a German Jewish artist known for his etchings. This painting in oil is rare, as Struck’s preferred medium was charcoal, ink and pencil. Fine condition, small scratches. 19 by 24 inches. Antique style frame.
