Julius Von Hofe 4/0 Salmon Reel - Julius Von Hofe 4/0 Salmon Reel. This mid sized 4/0 Salmon reel features hard rubber side plates stamped with ”Julius Von Hofe” Along with two patent dates of Oct 20, 1903 and Oct 8 1889. This reel also sports a robust brass internal spool, and a counterbalanced crank handle. This reel includes Julius Vom Hofe's patented adjustable disc-drag system with bi directional click/pawl mechanism. This reel represents an unusual Vom Hofe design and retains it's original style handle, drag components, and mechanical hardware. This reel is in nice used condition with a small crack along each side of the hard rubber side plates as well as age related weathering across the hardware.?
