She studied photography at the Cameroon Obscura Art School, Tel Aviv (1991-1987). As a student, she began working in press photography for Yedioth Ahronoth and Maariv. Sahar's first important exhibition was ”The Princess Bingo, ” at the Camera Obscura Gallery, Tel Aviv, in 1998, which featured fringe figures from Tel Aviv's nightlife and has since exhibited numerous group and solo exhibitions. Sahar won the Young Artist Award, the Ministry of Education and Culture (1998), the Leon Constantiner Award (2002), the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport Art Award (2004), and the Minister of Education and Culture (2014). All of Sahar's photo series were filmed, except for the ”Ashlon Beauty” series. Lives and works in Tel Aviv and is a mother of two. In her 2012 ”King David and I” exhibition Sahar and Menashe Kadishman illustrated her photographs as a tribute to David Handler.
