Sefer yafeh marah Commentaries and novellae on the aggadot in the Talmud Yerushalmi, by Rabbi Shmuel Jaffe Ashkenazi. Venice, by Asher Parenzo at the press of Giovanni di Gara, [1590]. First edition.  331 [1] leaves, 29 cm. With the text of the Yerushalmi.  Rabbi Shmuel Jaffe Ashkenazi (c.1525-1595) wrote the noted Yefeh Toar commentary on Midrash Rabbah. On the back of the title page, the printer Asher Parenzo writes that the author sent him a letter asking him to speed up the printing, because he was ready to print his Yefeh Toar on Midrash Rabba. However, the Yefeh Toar was printed seven years later, posthumously. Includes the last leaf [1] with the errata, in addition to the errata printed on leaf 331.
