Product DetailsThis proof set contains the half dollar, dollar and five dollar Gold coin.Set Highlights: The $5.00 coin contains .2419 oz of Gold. The dollar contains .7734 oz of Silver. The half dollar contains Copper/Nickel bonded to an inner core of pure Copper. Comes in U.S. Mint box and with a certificate of authenticity. Obverse: The $5 Gold coin shows a portrait of Columbus facing a map of the New World. The Silver dollar features a full-length figure of Columbus beside a globe, with his ships above. The half dollar depicts Columbus landing in the New World. Reverse: The $5 Gold coin shows the Crest of the Admiral of the Ocean Sea. Shown on the Silver dollar is a split image of the Santa Maria and the U.S. space shuttle Discovery, and the half dollar features his three ships.
