2008 Mint Proof Set In Original Case! 14 Coins Inside!. The 2008 Proof Set contained a total of fourteen coins. Each 2008 Proof Set contains the five State Quarters featuring Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska, and Hawaii. Notably, these represented the final five issues of the ten year long program. The sets also contained the four Presidential Dollars featuring James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Martin Van Buren, who were the fifth to eighth Presidents. The remaining coins were the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, and Sacagawea Dollar. The packaging for the 2008 Proof Set was consolidated from the prior year. The set still consisted of three plastic lenses, one with the State Quarters, one with the Presidential Dollars, and one with the remaining coins. These lenses were now placed together with a certificate of authenticity into a single cardboard box featuring the familiar Statue of Liberty and US Mint logo on a blue color scheme.
