2018 United States Mint Silver Proof Set; 10 pcs, about about 1.4 ounces of pure silver.. The 2018 Silver Proof Set contains 10 coins encased in three clear plastic lenses. All coins included in the set were struck at the San Francisco Mint. These beautiful proof coins are specially minted to feature sharp relief, a mirror–like background and frosted foregrounds. The Set include the annual release of five 90% silver quarters in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program which are; Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan; Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Wisconsin; Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota; Cumberland Island National Seashore in Georgia; and Block Island National Wildlife Refuge in Rhode Island. A 90% silver Kennedy Half Dollar, and a 90% silver Roosevelt Dime. A Native American $1 with a reverse theme that commemorates the contributions of Jim Thorpe to American sports and culture. The design depicts Jim Thorpe, while the foreground highlights his achievements in football and as an Olympian. Inscriptions are “JIM THORPE, ” “WA-THO-HUK, ” (Thorpe’s native name), “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ” and “$1.”. A Jefferson Nickel and a Lincoln Cent. A beautiful mint issued set in the original packaging with the certificate of authenticity.
