*Highlight* 1871-cc Seated Liberty 25c Graded vf35 - ***Auction Highlight*** 1871-cc Seated Liberty Quarter 25c Graded vf35 details By SEGS. 0 A single die pair was used to strike a token quantity of 10,890 quarter dollars at the Carson City Mint in 1871. Small silver coinage at the Nevada branch mint was limited until the mid-1870s, and those pieces that were struck became workhorses of Western commerce. As happened in the San Francisco area a couple of decades earlier, circulating coinage in the mining country of the Nevada Territory was severely worn and abused, leaving high-grade survivors extremely rare. The 1871-CC quarter dollar is rare in all grades, and most pieces reside below the VF level. This Choice VF coin is high-end for the issue, showing sharp detail and pleasing pewter-gray patina. The details grade is due to the marks by the date. Not really noticeable without magnification. Good Luck in becoming one of the few who own one.
