This is an attractive steel-gray example of this popular “Apostrophe” variety, showing the diagnostic die lump on the reverse rim, just past the second S in STATES. The surfaces are well-struck and virtually unmarked, a great-looking collector-grade coin. A small die crack runs from the dentils upward but not reaching the 1 in the date.
