A commentary to Maimonides’ laws of Kiddush HaChodesh by R. Yehonasan Ruzhinai, one of the leading rabbis of Lithuania (see Otzar HaRabbanim 7495). The author writes in the preface here of his family’s destitute circumstances following outbreak of a city-wide pandemic. The title of the work reflects his gratitude upon survival.
