Frankfurt, 1572 (or later): Two Jerusalems are depicted; on the left, the city during the Second Temple Era; on the right, the contemporary city. Lower left, Moses receives the Decalogue at Mount Sinai, surrounded by a prostrating nation. This first appeared in Braun and Hogenberg’s ‘Civitates Orbis Terrarum.’
