London, 1836. A native of Agadir, Morocco, Moses Edrehi (1774-1842) grew up in Essaouira (Mogador) and Rabat, where he studied under R. Judah Anhouri. He lived in London and then Amsterdam, before finally settling in Jerusalem where he served as British Consul.
