Each page is framed in red, with red further utilized for both decoration and textual emphasis. A later owner has inscribed the date “1804.” pp. 54 (excluding blanks). Dampsatined, some text affected, one page torn out. Modern boards. 8vo. North Africa, 18th-century.  Liturgy for a T’u B’Shevat Seder, based upon the Lurianic teachings of R. Hayyim Vital.  The consumption of as many as 16 species of fruit is here encouraged. Eaten with the appropriate Kavanoth, effected Tikkunim can result in the worlds of Beriah, Yetzirah, and Asiyah.  The fruits for the Seder are: Dates, grapes, fig, pomegranate, olives, wheat, etrog, apples, nuts, carobs, pears, crabapples, quinces, plums, cherries, and lupines.  The Seder is 12 pages of this manuscript, following which is the Pidyon Nefesh for the ill, a Kabbalistic rite intended to act as a redemption for the soul of the sick, in aid of physical recovery.
