SCHUCK, DAVID. Autograph Letter Signed, written in Hebrew to Rabbi Zev Wolf Fischbein. A letter of recommendation of Rabbi Schuck’s nephew (unnamed) attesting to good qualities and depth of learning. One page. 8vo. Varanno, (today, Vranov nad Topľou, Slovakia) 14th Av, 1884. R. Dovid Schuck (Schick, 1812-90), was the celebrated author of Sepher Imrei David.  This letter of recommendation is very likely for the benefit of R. Asher Anschel Grunwald, whose mother Genendel, was R. Schuck’s sister.  The letter attests that the nephew received Semicha from the Av Beth Din of Csenger, R. Asher Anshel Jungreis (1806-73) - to which Rabbi Schuck added his own.
