Russian-born Rabbi Yehuda Leib HaKohen Maimon (1875-1962) was a leader of the Religious Zionist movement, Mizrachi. In Ben-Gurion’s inaugural Cabinet, Maimon was the State of Israel's first Minister of Religions.
