Venice: Bragadin 1697 The Egyptian born author (d. 1684) served for several decades as Rabbi and Dayan in Cairo before moving to Jerusalem where he died. This, his only published work, is a valuable insight into contemporary Jewish life in Egypt and was often cited by many later rabbinic authorities.
