Important work that consists of three independent parts: The first, entitled Yemoth Olam, is a history from the Creation to the Author’s own time. The second part contains lists of the Mishnaic and Talmudic sages with their dates. The third part is a bibliographical catalogue, that greatly expands Shabthai Bass’s Sifthei Yesheinim. In his preface, the author highlights the many advantages a knowledge of history causes in excelling in Talmud study.
