In their introduction, the brothers state that their father’s commentary is derived directly from a manuscript in the possession of the family, and not from sporadic and error-prone note-taking by students. A fine copy   with elaborate manuscript dedication by Family Wertheim, presented to their father upon reaching his 70th birthday, Burgsteinfurt, 1879.
