The author, who was Rabbi of Omaha, Nebraska for almost sixty years (1892-1949) was a cousin of the famed R. Chaim Ozer Grodzenski of Vilna. “… Specifically in our land [the United States] where not long ago many of our brothers of Israel came from across the ocean to find a source of respite from contemporary pressures and have settled far and wide… it is the primary obligation of every community to establish a Mikvah according to the laws of the Torah” (see p. xiiii).
