UZIEL, BEN-ZION MEIR HAI (Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Mandatory Palestine, 1880-1953). Typed Letter Signed written in Hebrew on letterhead to the Vaad HaPoel of HaPoel Mizrahi. A responsum on several halachic queries concerning grafting of trees (see Sepher Mishptei Uziel Vol. I YD 24:6). Two pages. Tel Aviv, 22nd Nisan, 1935. R. Ben-Zion Meir Hai Uziel was the Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Eretz Israel from 1939 until his death. He was the author of several volumes of highly regarded responsa each entitled Mishpetei Ouziel.
