SHE’ER, YITZCHAK IZAK (Rosh Yeshiva of Slabodka, 1875-1952). Autograph Letter Signed and stamped, written in Hebrew on letterhead. Acknowledges receipt of a large sum of money collected for the benefit of the Beis Yisrael - Slabodka Kollel. One page. Slabodka-Kovno, 23rd Av, 1922. R. Yitzchak Isaac Sher was the son-in-law of the Alter of Slabodka, and Rosh Yeshiva of the Slabodka Yeshiva, both in Slabodka itself and later, in Bnai Brak. Before this position, he directed the Slabodka Kollel which included future rabbinic luminaries such as Rabbis Ya’akov Kamenetsky, Ya’akov Yitzchak Ruderman and Dovid Leibowitz, all of whom made a significant imprint on the development of post-war American Orthodox Jewry.
