ROSEN, YOSEPH (The Rogatchover Gaon, 1858-1936). Autograph Postcard Signed, written in Hebrew to Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Ferber in London. Addressed in Cyrillic and English on verso. The Rogotchover Gaon queries Rabbi Ferber if he received his letter, as much time has passed without a response. (Such pursuit of information is no doubt an indication of the great admiration the Rogatchover had for R. Ferber). Dvinsk, 5th day of Chanukah, 1922. R. Tzvi Hirsch Ferber (1879-1966) was Slabodka-trained who immigrated to England in 1911 where he led London’s West End Talmud Torah (Dean Street) synagogue for more than forty years.
