The patriarch of the present dynasties of Sadigura and Boyan. Son of R. Yisrael of Ruzhyn (1796-1850), one of the great Chassidic Rebbes of the 19th century, and son-in-law of R. Aharon of Karlin (the Beis Aharon), R. Avraham Ya’akov Friedman (1820-83) was the first Admo’r of Sadigura.
