WORMS, CHARLES. CARTE-DE-VISITE PHOTOGRAPH. In uniform (chest-up) with medal on chest, unusual hat insignia. Signed by Worms in brown period ink: “Chas. Worms, Capt. & AQM.” No photog. imprint. Captain Charles Worms (1823-91) 58th New York Infantry. Served as quartermaster in three companies in the regiment. While in the Army of the Potomac he took part in many battles including Second Bull Run, Chancellorsville and Gettysburg. Later served in the Department of the Gulf in Alabama, Tennessee and New Orleans. Member of Farragut GAR Post 602, Chicago.
