Printed below: “MAJOR ROSENGARTEN.” Photog. imprint on both sides “McAllister & Bro., Philadelphia. Photograph extracted from a Rosengarten Family Album. Enlisted as First Sergeant in the 15th Pennsylvania Cavalry (Anderson Troop) and rose in rank to Major in command of the regiment.
