LEVY, JULIUS. TINTYPE PHOTOGRAPH   mounted in gilt-brass brooch with original glass. Chest up view in uniform. Wearing kepi and large flamboyant bow tie. Identified on verso in period ink. Julius Levy, Company A, 6th Arkansas Infantry was a significant Confederate. He was one of ten Jewish soldiers killed in action at Shiloh on April 6, 1862. His brother Michael served in the same regiment and survived the war.
