Private Leopold Cohen (1842-?) enlisted in company A, 102nd New York Infantry, Feb., 1862. Subsequently joined Company G, 12th New York, until June 1863. Promoted to US Army Medical Dept. serving in Alexandria, Virginia to the end of the war. Cohen saw action in the Peninsular Campaign, Second Bull Run, Antietam, and Fredericksburg.
