Avraham Abba Zarachowitz, Erev Shabbos Kodesh Parshath Vayikra, 1913. Although signed letters appear for auction sale, THE APPEARANCE OF THE MOST FAMOUS OF THE CHOFETZ CHAIM’S VERY OWN PUBLICATIONS PERSONALLY INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY HIM, IS HIGHLY UNCOMMON. Inscribed by the Chofetz Chaim to Rabbi Avraham Abba Zarachowitz for his wedding in 1913. Rabbi Zarachowitz (1893-1932), who preferred to use the surname Zarach, was the rabbi of Švenčionys, Minsk and Ilya. He was the author of Zichron Shaul (Vilna, 1929), a book of novellae and Torah lectures delivered in places such as the Chevra Shas of Ilya. R. Yisrael Meir Kagan (1838-1933) is universally acclaimed as the pre-eminent Halachic decisor and Tzaddik of the generation. His reputation as halachist par-excellence rests upon his “Mishnah Berurah, ” a commentary to Shulchan Aruch, section Orach Chaim. TIPPED INTO VOLUME: 14-page Autograph Letter by R.
