LARGE CONTINENTAL SILVER MEGILLAH CASE.
Cylindrical case title in Hebrew with dense repousse-work depicting Queen Esther approaching King Ahaseurus on his throne, amidst elaborate floral and foliate design motifs and along spindle. The whole surmounted by large openwork coronet. Prominent thumb-pull fitted along entire width of the Megillah. Marked.
FITTED WITH: Tall manuscript Esther Scroll composed in a fine Aschkenazic hand on vellum. L: 22 inches (56 cm).
