ROSENTHAL, LOUIS N. Camp Brightwood. Fine engraved illustration appears on the top of a four-page patriotic letter sheet (lower blank portion cut away). Philadelphia 1861. Russian-born Jew and subsequent Philadelphia artist and publisher, Louis N. Rosenthal (c.1824-c.1900) traveled to sketch the camps of the many Union regiments - with full authorization of the army. Camp Brightwood, was the headquarters of the 2nd Rhode Island Infantry.
