MOSES, ISAAC. Moses, as Asst. Adjutant General, signs General Orders (G.O.) No. 4 for mustering the troops of the division. By order of Brigadier General Heintzelman. Ft. Lyon, Va., 29th October, 1861 Captain Isaac Moses served from Sept. 25, 1861 to July 6, 1864, including on the staff of General Hatch. Most notably, he was a pioneer balloonist (aeronaut) who made historic ascensions observing enemy troop emplacements and movements. See F.
