BEZALEL DECORATED BRASS ARTILLERY SHELL-CASE VASE.
Cylinder inlaid with silver and copper with organic interlace decorative lettering, central plaque with the Hebrew verse: “Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more” (Isaiah, 2:4). And further, below: “I will even gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered and I will give you the Land of Israel” (Ezekiel, 11:17). Marked on base: “Krupp, Dusseldorf, 1916.”
