(MEGILATH ESTHER). Complete Scroll of Esther. Hebrew manuscript, accomplished in black ink on vellum. Composed on five membranes in 20 columns. A “HaMelech” scroll. Written in a youthful hand, carries initials at beginning and at end: “M.D.E.E.” Also bears Hebrew date at end “1892” and location of “Solokin(?)” Each columns with decorative, colorful borders featuring flowers, fruits, etc. Three striking folk-like pictorial panels (probably later); at opening, closing, and alongside the column featuring the Sons of Haman. H: 8 inches. Attached at end to wooden stave. WITH UNUSUAL PICTORIAL ILLUMINATED PANELS.
